Your Choice of Policy

The Open Policy

For regular importers of exporters with a wide variety of goods and destination, we can arrange an Open Policy for you. This is a permanent policy, which never needs to be renewed. We automatically accept all consignments falling within the scope of the cover. There is no fixed insured amount. Instead, a basis of valuation and rates are agreed with you at the outset, and a maximum amount set for any one consignment. Premiums are debited on a regular basis against certificates or declarations received, usually monthly.

Annual Polices

Alternatively, if you wish to do away hassle of making monthly declarations to us, you may opt for an annual policy. This is similar to the Open Policy but issued for a period of time, usually twelve months. Its covers all shipments made by you within the agreed scope of cover of the Policy. At the inception of the policy. You pay a deposit premium based on your estimated annual turnover for the policy period. This is adjusted at the end of the policy period in accordance with your declaration of the actual total value of shipments made during the policy period.

Or, if your shipments are infrequent, you may opt to insured individual shipments as and when you require them. A separate marine policy will be issued for each shipment declared to us and an agreed premium charges.
